Sheffield Florists online

So many times towards the end of summer we forget how we can cheer ourselves and others up, especially when the weather has been so poor this year.

For many of us we have taken our eagerly anticipated holidays, returned to work and the kids will soon be back at school. However, there are still many special events at this time of the year, including weddings, corporate outings before the autumn kicks in, and family weekends in the garden. We still try our best to soak up every last drop of sunshine we can find!

It's important that we remember to decorate these longer days with fresh flowers from a local florists, the brighter seasons really help us take advantage of the light in the house and the garden. Katie Peckett Sheffield Florist has a selection of florist delights that can add a splash of life and colour to any garden party, wedding or even the kitchen window!

Sheffield florist, keeping it cool

One thing we all should remember, is that although flowers grow in the sunshine, when they are in our home the humidity is different, and they are not receiving all the natural moisture and ingredients that they would normally get.

Leaving fresh flowers in water on the window sill in hot weather will not help them live a long time- they can dry out and become wilted very quickly. If you have to keep them where the light is strong and hot, make sure they have plenty of food, and close the blinds or curtains for a few hours each day.

Sheffield florist in bloom

This is definately my favourite time of year. Here in our west end flower shop we have some really fresh flowers that really brighten the whole place up. I remember when I first entered the floristry business, it was in Summer when I had my first few months of hard work but I enjoyed every minute.

The colours, variety and freshness of flowers that we have during spring and into this warmer season make it a treat to be a Sheffield florist!

Sheffield Flower Shop

We are very lucky in Sheffield these days- it seems we have so much more choice when it comes to finding a shop for almost everything. The regeneration of the city has seen some exciting new developments, across the centre and south west of Sheffield in particular.

There are quite a few tower blocks being erected, especially apartments and car parks, which incorporate shopping areas and office blocks into the buildings at lower levels. This has given chance for new shop owners to open in area that will be guaranteed traffic and foot fall, to help support the opening of the business. This can only be good for Sheffield and local residents.
